ellie has suddenly become a little tornado of a person. she's in trouble left and right!
she unplugged a receptionist's monitor while we were at an appointment.
she climbs on everything - she even tried to climb up the attic ladder while the husband was up there!
she has somehow gotten the scissors off the table and brought them to me (she has like, a super reach?!).
she immediately heads for the driveway and the street as soon as we let her outside, even though she has a huge backyard to explore.
there are so many more things and they all make me sound like a terrible mother. it really sounds like i don't even watch what she's doing but i promise you, i'm right there with her. she's so quick and so sneaky. it's not like i can really discipline her, either. time out for a one-year-old? uh . . .
now for her latest scheme, another example of her incredible reach. she somehow got a giant lollipop off the top of my dresser (seriously, how?!). i found her in my room trying to hide it in her mouth.
(sorry for the poor quality, i was literally catching her in the act.
notice the boysenberry dribble down her shirt.)
and you're telling me this is supposed to get worse when she's two?

Ugh! I so feel for you! We went throw the same thing... How do I punish a one year old? Now she is almost two and laughs at me when I try to punish her. Good luck! If you find something that works, let me know!
Oh Ellie is too funny. And keeps you very busy I am sure!! I love reading her/your stories. I have thought the same thing about my two - well, Andrew ;-) He already loves to pull Mallory's hair and torment her. And he is not even ONE ;-)
Maybe she's just getting it all out now...? Good luck with that.
She looks like she knows she got caught but thinks it's hilarious!
Oh, no, when they are one and they do naughty things it surprising and cute, and you take pictures and document their cute naughtiness. When they are two/three and they do naughty things you know they understand you, and they still do them, you just want to beat them...that's the difference ;)
Oh that Ellie, she's a smart one alright!! Her little smug smile just melts my heart..I'd be giving her another lollipop just for cuteness sake!
Did she unwrap the sucker too? Because then that is one smart baby. Also, it sounds like she's not scared of anything. I smell trouble...
tehehe that first picture is priceless! i guess you'll never escape someone stealing from your candy stash!
